Best Ab Workouts

Ab workouts are very important for men who want to look fit and trim. You can build up your ab muscles with the help of these exercises. The first exercise you can do is crunches. To perform this exercise, lie on the floor with your knees bent and your hands behind head for support. Lift your head off the floor and slowly go back down to the floor while breathing out. This is one repetition. You can do many repetitions in a day with two-three sets each time. After doing an ab work out your pain relaxation can be given by Northern Beaches physiotherapy.

You can also do a variation of this exercise by putting a rolled towel under your lower back to make it more difficult with every rep. The next exercise you can do is sit ups. To perform this exercise, lie flat on the floor with your knees bent but feet on the floor and hold a dumbbell in each hand at arms length above your chest. Slowly lift your upper body from the floor while inhaling and touch your left knee with your right elbow, then return back to the starting position while exhaling. Do this in a smooth motion without any jerks or stiffening of the body so that you get a better result.

The exercise should start with a warm-up. This will help you to loosen the muscles so that they are ready for the workout. You can warm up by walking briskly, riding a bike or jumping rope.

The next step is to do crunches and sit-ups. Do as many as you can. Start with a set of 20 and work your way up to 40 every day. When performing crunches and sit-ups, you should not use any sort of momentum. This will ensure that your abdominal muscles are doing the most work.

Once you have loosened up your abdominal muscles, move on to some more advanced ab exercises such as leg raises and oblique twists. These exercises will help strengthen the lower abs and the oblique muscles on each side of your torso. To perform leg raises, lie down on a bench with a dumbbell or weight plate on your chest, and place a ball between your ankles. Lift your legs until they reach a 90 degree angle from your waist area, then slowly bring them back down to the starting position. Repeat this motion until you have completed the required number of repetitions for this exercise.
